Why PUBG is so addicted?

“Why PUBG is so addicted?” Why? Why? This question was tempering my brain from past months when the addiction level towards this game has been reached beyond out of reach. After doing some analysis and research I have finally able to find some answers to my question. If you want to know the same then you are in the right place. So, without any further ado, let’s get started.

What is PUBG?

PUBG stands for PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds. It is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. The game is inspired by the Japanese film Battle Royale screened in the year 2000.

BattleGrounds was release on December 20, 2017. That same month, the game was released by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One, and officially released in September 2018. The same year, a free-to-play mobile version for Android and iOS was released, in addition to a port for the PlayStation 4 (PS-4).

BattleGrounds is one of the best-selling and most-played video games of all time, selling over fifty million copies worldwide by June 2018, with over 400 million players in total when including the mobile version.

How it’s played?

You would get to know it only if you will play himself but I will give a short and precise overview of it. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island by an airplane and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves.

Every few minutes, the playable area of the map begins to shrink down towards a random location over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round and got Chicken Dinner, haa….haa…..

But this game is evolving gradually. Now you can play it with your own team instead of alone.

Why it is so addicted?

It’s a very tricky question but anyone will be able to get it once he or she will be able to analyze it and bear some pain. These are some key points which I will be able to get it.

1: Availability

Obviously, this is the most common reason for its addiction. The game is available on all the major mobile platforms like Android, iOS, and even for PCs and the most important thing is, it can run on almost all the mobile including having low-end chipsets. It is also available in two variants. One is PUBG Mobile, the main for all the devices having sufficient processing power and other is PUBG Mobile Lite especially for the low-end devices as mentioned above.

You can even play it in any android emulator like playing it on any computer though it is available for PCs. Its apk file is also easily available on the internet to download and install it in Android devices.

2: Connect socially

This game connects the users socially i.e. when you play a session, you can connect with the other players globally and also play with them online against them or as a team. You can even chat and command them during play. By this, you can share your strategy or make some in the game.

By this, you can hang out with your friends, and love and dear ones. This feature makes this game a standout-game among the other games.

3: You get the reward

While playing the game you will get the reward from time to time. The reward can be of many types like virtual coins and later you can redeem it to purchase any kind of things you need, weapons, surprise elements, etc. Even you can purchase any weapon or anything you like through credit card at any time. These rewards boost your moral and forced you to play it more and more, and this continues again and again and you get trapped in a loop and it becomes your habit.

4: Gameplay

The gameplay of any game is one of the most important aspects, and literally, the gameplay of PUBG is top notch. The graphics seem so real because of the maps based on real locations, even the weapons used in the games also based on real weapons.

The controls are so simple, you can master it easily after playing some practice sessions. You can even customize it according to your need. The game is very clean and simple and easy to play. It is not very hard and complicated like other similar types of games.

5: Optimised

The game is very much optimized for most of the devices available in the markets. You can enjoy it even on a low-end device without too much fuss. The lighter version of the game is very much similar to the actual version with little compromisation obviously.

6: UI and UX

The user interface (UI) and how it looks and how is the user experience (UX), is another one of the most important aspects for any game or software. If the UI/UX of the game is too complicated to understand and the game looks ugly then no matter how best the gameplay is, the users don’t show any interest at all.

In the case of PUBG, its UI/UX is best in class as of now at least in my opinion. There are other similar games available but no one could achieve popularity as PUBG did.

7: Frequently Updates

Regular updates are another one of the most important aspects for any software platform and PUBG is bang on in providing updates. It provides regular and frequent updates. They update their maps regularly, optimized their game according to the processors available in the markets, provide updates and upgrades to their weapons and other types of equipment, even they add some new pieces of equipment time to time.
