What is Jio phone?

JioPhone is a feature packed phone which has almost all the advanced feature that a phone should have. But the amazing part is that its a quiet low budget phone. I would like to dedicate a bear hug (jaadu ki jhappi) to Mr. Mukesh Ambani for introducing it. Surprisingly, it has some advanced feature that even my smartphone hasn’t.

What stuffs you should require to own it?

You should require only three things to own it.

1: A working feature phone with a charger: According to the Jio’s official website, you can exchange any 2G, 3G, 4G (non-VOLTE) phone which is not older than January 1st, 2015, to avail this offer. You need to ensure that the existing phone and its charger are both are undamaged and in working condition. There is no need to carry any bill or phone box, or any other accessory. Phone and charger can be of the different brand but should be in a working condition.

JioPhone or any CDMA or operator locked devices WILL NOT be accepted for exchange under this offer. You can also check the eligibility of your handset on Jio’s official website or just by checking this link.

You can take as many JioPhones as you like under this offer subject to the maximum connections limit as mandated by DOT.

2: A legitimate Aadhaar Card (or any other accepted ID proof): For the quick and hassle-free activation you should use your Aadhaar Card as a ID proof.

3: Money of course (haaa……..haaaa………): The effective price of the JioPhone is zero though. But first, you have to pay Rs 501 upfront to get a phone. Although Rs 501 is 100% refundable after 3 years with the return of undamaged existing JioPhone (condition apply).

You have to recharge with special JioPhone recharge plan of unlimited voice and data for 6 months on paying only Rs 594 (Rs 99×6=Rs 594) at the time of activation. Additionally, you will also get a special exchange bonus of 6GB data voucher, worth Rs 101. You will get a total of 90 GB data over 6 months.

So the bottom line is that you should have Rs (501+594)=Rs 1095 and a working feature phone with a charger to get a brand new JioPhone.
